With experience as a prosecutor for the SEC and several decades of “insider” knowledge gained as an officer of and lawyer for the life insurance, auto & homeowners insurance and reinsurance companies of one of the world’s largest insurance groups – including serving as President & CEO of part of MetLife® and as MetLife’s Chief Brokerage Executive — Gerry is uniquely qualified to assist Advocate Law Group’s clients to quickly obtain the favorable results they seek for the damages they have suffered.

Repeatedly ranked at the top tier of all lawyers by his peers over the years and selected to chair numerous legal committees, Gerry uses his deep knowledge of the law and how insurance companies really operate, to benefit Advocate Law Group’s clients while working with the Advocate Law Group Network of leading consumer-oriented law firms.

Gerry graduated with honors from the College of William and Mary and from Columbia Law School. He completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program as well as the coursework for a masters at Stanford. He saw military service while on active duty as an officer at the Army Security Agency.

Licensed as an attorney in New York and California, Gerry is also admitted to practice before numerous Federal district courts, Federal appellate courts and the Supreme Court of the United States. He also has served as an insurance expert for the United States Department of Justice and other federal agencies.

Gerry has chaired insurance committees of the American Bar Association and the California State Bar, as well as administrative law and professional responsibility committees of the New York City Bar Association. He currently serves on the committee overseeing the insurance programs sponsored by the California State Bar and the California Lawyers Association.
